COLLEGE RULES FOR THE STUDENTS
1. All the students shall comply with college rules and regulations.

2. Regular and punctual attendance at lectures, demonstrations, seminars, practicals, laboratoryoratory works, clinical demonstrations, class and term examinations etc. is compulsory.

EACH STUDENT MUST ATTEND MINIMUM
  i. 75 percent of the full course of lectures delivered and

  ii. 75 percent of the full course of clinical demonstrations and/or practicals held separately in each of the subjects in which he/she is to be examined. Students who do not achieve the requisite attendance and whose progress and conduct are not considered satisfactory, are liable to be not allowed to appear for the university examinations as per university rules.

FOR ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT
  i. Attendance in classes including class and term examinations and marks obtained at these examinations will be taken into consideration in assessing academic progress of a student.

  ii. Absence from any college examination will not be excused unless written permission is given by the Head of the Department concerned, in consultation with the Principal on compassionate grounds.

  iii. Leave of absence from classes must be taken from the heads of Departments. Students returning late from leave are required to make up for the time missed in summer/winter vacations. In case of illness, a medical certificate from a qualified and registered practitioner must be sent immediately. Prior sanction of the Principal must be obtained for more than one day leave.

CODE OF CONDUCT
The management would stress on disciplined behaviour of every student in and outside the college campus.
  (i.) Students are not allowed to paste notices within the premises of the institution without prior permission from the office of the Principal and are forbidden to communicate with any outside authority directly. All such communications must be submitted through the principal who will forward these if considered desirable. Any student infringing this rule will be subjected to disciplinary action.

  (ii.) The college does not hold itself responsible for debts incurred by the students.

  (iii.) Students must pay for all damages caused by them to books and other college property, breakages of apparatus.

  (iv.) Strictly forbidden in any part of institution are:

    a. Smoking
    b. The possession or use of alcoholic beverages.
    c. The possession or use of addictive or hallucinogenic drugs.
    d. Gambling.
    e. The possession or use of firearms or any lethal weapons.
    f. Loitering around unnecessarily.

  (v.) Students are not permitted to use the college telephone.

  (vi.) Ragging of any student is forbidden and is punishable by fine, rustication or expulsion from college. Ragging is defined as willful injury or threat or injury, physical or mental, to any fellow student, where by he/she suffers distress of body mind or spirit.

  (vii.) The student on admission will give an undertaking that he will not be involved in ragging. In case of violation her/his admission will be cancelled.

  (viii.) Illness and minor ailments must be reported to the Hostel warden as early as possible.

  (ix.) Students must arrange for washable white coats which are to be worn at all times in the college laboratories and on hospital duty and also procure their own physiotherapy equipments. Girl students must put their hair up when at work in the college and hospital, Students are required to wear conventional sober dress. T-shirts, jeans and sport shoes are prohibited.

  (x.) College fees must be paid in full by due dates. Any student whose fees together with the fine imposed remains unpaid, will be suspended from attending lectures, practicals, clinics etc. until the fees/dues have been paid.

  (xi.) Principal in consultation with the senior staff members shall deal with any serious offence for which adverse entry in the personal file of the student may be made.

  (xii.) The decision of the Governing Body in all disputes would be final and binding onto the students.

  (xiii.) Student who is unable to get her/his degree during convocation ceremony what so ever the reason may be and who wishes to get the degree in absentia will be required to deposit the amount as decided by the Principal.

  (xiv.) There will be no refund of any fee deposited with the college if the student discontinues the course. An affidavit will be required by the college attested by 1st Class Magistrate stating:

    1. Withdrawal is on the Ward’s and their Parent’s own will.

    2. They will not claim refund of any fee deposited by them to the college after the student’s withdrawal.

  (xv.) During the time of admission an undertaking from the ward and her/his parents will be required stating that they will not claim refund of any fee in case of withdrawal of their ward.
